Help Finding Work

OCISO hosts workshops to help newcomers find work. The workshops provide job search training designed specifically for newcomers. The aim of the workshop is to provide the newcomer with the tools to develop an individualized and effective action plan for a successful job hunt.

Participants have access to a computer with an Internet connection, word-processing capabilities, a fax machine, and a printer. Staff assist clients with resume, cover letter and calling card preparation as well as Internet job search techniques.
